Katie Emmel of International Decision Systems on the Role of the Internet of Things in Finance

February 15, 2017, 07:00 AM

VIDEO INTERVIEW: Katie Emmel, Chief Operating Officer of International Decision Systems discusses how the Internet of Things (IoT) drives tighter partnerships between finance companies and their customers via the usage of data and analytics.

In this installment of Equipment Finance Advisor’s Thought Leadership Video Series, Emmel describes how accessing asset usage data enables finance companies to communicate more effectively with their customers regarding the best type of financing for a particular asset usage scenario. According to Emmel, as finance companies work with customers over time, the data gathered via the IoT will allow finance companies to build stronger relationships with their customers and better understand how the assets financed are being used – creating a closer partnership between finance companies and lessees/borrowers.

Equipment Finance Advisor’s Thought Leadership Videos feature interviews with subject matter experts and leaders from bank-owned equipment finance companies, banks, independent commercial finance companies, consultants, service and product providers and more – offering their candid thoughts in interviews broadcast via Equipment Finance Advisor’s YouTube Channel.

Equipment Finance Advisor’s Thought Leadership Video series is produced by Susan Carol Creative. If you and your company are interested in creating a Thought Leadership Video, please contact Susan Carol at sca@scapr.com
