Frederick “Rick” Eugene Wolfert, 64, of Greensboro, GA, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA.

Rick had a long and distinguished career in the equipment finance industry. He was an active volunteer for both ELFA and the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation. He served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 1998 and served as ELFA Chairman in 2001.

After graduating from Louisiana State University, Rick worked for Proctor and Gamble and Connecticut General before joining US Leasing, which was the beginning of his 35-year career in commercial finance. He held executive-level roles at US Leasing, KeyCorp Leasing, Heller Financial, GE and CIT Group. In 2007, Rick’s passion, expertise and drive led him to partner with a private-equity firm to start his own commercial finance company. He named the firm “Tygris” in honor of his and his wife Holly’s LSU experience. He most recently served on the board of Stadion Money Management.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on April 13 at 11 a.m. at Lake Oconee Church, 1101 Village Park Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Linger Longer Pavilion, 100 Linger Longer Rd. in Reynolds. Guests can enter through the main gate and will need to mention they are going to the Linger Longer Pavilion for the Memorial reception. There will be a burial service at Resthaven Gardens in Baton Rouge on April 20.
