Business Development Manager- Professional Referral Sources
Location: Nationwide - Home Office

Business Development Manager- Professional Referral Sources

This position is responsible for developing relationships with banks, credit unions and other third party sources (Professional Referral Sources) with a customer base of prospective clients for ECF’s products and services. This person will be given a territory of Professional Referral Sources to solicit and establish referral relationships for lease, loan and factoring opportunities for their customers. Travel within territory is required.

This position works out of the employee’s home office. We will consider qualified candidates in all territories across the country, and have immediate openings in the following territories:
  • Western Region
  • Eastern Region
To be effective, you will need to possess high energy, strong work ethic, good communication, writing, organization and system (Excel and Power Point) skills. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • 3+ years in the equipment finance industry
  • Developed bank and credit union relationships in territory preferred
  • Enjoys the challenges of building a book of business by making many phone calls and solicitations to prospective clients while growing our client base
  • High customer service acumen
  • Proficient with HP 12c or T-Value
  • Positive, high energy and desire to work hard to accomplish goals
  • Strong communication skills to expand relationships and improve service levels
  • Comfortable meeting with bank executives, commercial lenders, customers via in person, phone and email, and understanding metrics of leads and rejections
  • Understanding of financial contracts and concepts
  • Familiarity with commercial credit, credit bureaus and credit scores
  • Networking internally and externally to manage and solve problems
  • Be a forward thinker and suggest process improvements
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to travel with overnights within territory
  • Four-year college degree
