Direct Capital is seeking Funding Managers to manage lease and loan documentation for a wide range of vendors including Apple, Ryder, and Subway. This position calls for a well-organized, self-motivated professional with an analytical mindset and a knack for problem solving. You must have sharp leadership skills and be detail-oriented, as well as possess a thick skin and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As a Funding Manager, you will be responsible for managing lease and loan documentation while overseeing the transaction process for our syndicated partners. You’ll provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and banking partners. It is likely that you will self-manage a monthly portfolio of 40-45 customers, and serve as support for your colleagues as needed.

The Funding Manager position is divided into Contract and Conversion depending on which best suits your skillset and disposition. Contract Funding Managers serve as the front end in getting to know the customer and business, and work from a daily queue claiming deals and locating filings and company listings. Conversion Funding Managers serve as the back end, signing the contract, following up for invoices, and funding the deal.

A Glimpse Into Your Day-to-Day:
  • Prepare, organize, and prioritize files for review
  • Engage in multiple customer-facing phone calls per day
  • Audit and proofread documents, insurance certificates, and invoices
  • Contact equipment vendors
  • Collect original documentation from vendors for the lease or loan transaction
  • Invoice procurement and processing
  • Identify and coordinate equipment delivery dates
  • Supply purchase orders
  • Maintain open lines of communication and positive relationships with customers
  • Deliver excellent service to our team of finance managers
  • Maintain and support existing vendor relationships

Required Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree with 1-2 years of prior business/office experience
  • 1-2 years in business, finance, insurance, or customer service position/industry
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Knowledge of leasing industry and/or contract terms a plus
