A Business Development Representative (BDR) at Direct Capital is not your typical “sales” position. It’s more akin to an account management position, with a heavy emphasis on cultivating and building relationships with new and existing vendors.
We at Direct Capital want to sell you on this job opportunity, and we want to bring on more people like you to help us do it: more people whose passion and skill it is to get people to say, “YES!”
Maybe building relationships with business owners across the country sounds compelling. Or maybe working at a fast-paced financial services company that provides affordable lending solutions to an underserved market piques your interest. Now that we’ve got you hooked, here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Creating partnerships with vendors and influencing key decision makers
- Researching prospects and identifying the key people to call
- Delivering our value prop by crafting an effective pitch
- Many and varied phone conversations with vendors geared toward cultivating new business relationships and tending to existing ones
- Presenting technology tools and solutions through webinar demos
- Working collaboratively with other sales team members
- Serving as the liaison between sales teams as needed
Do you have what we’re looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree with a desire to be in Sales
- 1+ years’ experience
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Technologically savvy
- Comfortable with making and holding conversation
- Hard-working and efficient
- Passion for inside sales
