Commercial Financial Sales Professionals/Lending Solutions Manager
Location: Portsmouth, NH

We’re looking for experienced Commercial Financial Sales Professionals to join our effort to lend money to the nation’s 25 million small businesses, a massive market that is underserved by banks and in need of capital. Direct Capital is a lender that specializes in equipment leasing and commercial financing products.

Some of your prospects will be sourced through standard lead generation efforts, though most will be brought straight to you.

A good Commercial Financial Sales Professional will have the ability to assess a business’ needs and provide them with the appropriate solution. The whole process must be remarkable for the customer, since we care deeply about and pride ourselves on our customer experience.

Your work will be supported by an extensive and experienced team – business analysts, statisticians, modern marketers, and application developers – though it is far from an easy inside sales job. You will be challenged throughout your career with Direct Capital and gain invaluable experience from other sales and lending professionals.

A Glimpse Into Your Day-to-Day:
  • Manage equipment and technology leasing projects for clients. This includes credit analysis, project management, and decision-making on pricing
  • Prospect, qualify, and close business opportunities to meet or exceed monthly origination targets and acquisition goals
  • Advise customers on financing options for their business
  • Efficiently and effectively address the customer’s business needs, offer appropriate value proposition solutions, negotiate price, and close accounts – all over the phone
  • Consistently crush obstacles and invent solutions using key selling points to move the customer or prospect toward commitment
  • Maintain ongoing productive relationships with existing customers and vendors in an effort to earn repeat business
  • Keep abreast of current industry, source, and market activities
  • Be strategic-minded toward organizational missions and goals
  • Continuously evolve partnership development to improve partnership efficiency and effectiveness

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Organized with sharp prioritization habits
  • Firm understanding of basic technology
  • Able to identify selling opportunities
  • High-powered, scrappy, and tenacious
  • Able to maintain strong customer retention
  • Exceptional listening and verbal/written communication skills
  • Able to adopt various selling styles
  • Transaction management internally and externally
  • Able to exceed assigned origination goals

Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration
