Manager of Loan Operations
|
Location: Buffalo, NY
As a key member of the Executive Team, you will drive strategies, initiatives and operations for our Buffalo office. Areas of focus will be on leading the Loan Operations Team:
- Documentation Team
- Customer Service
- Loan Servicing
- Compliance

Leadership:
- Translate business requirements into actionable goals and initiatives
- Manage all communications to Executive Management, presenting updates on initiatives and benchmarks, with recommendations for strategic improvement
Process, Policy, Platform and Product Documentation:
- Implement an audit process over document and lien perfection compliance
- Enhance technological systems in supporting compliance initiatives
- Ensure initiatives achieve intended results and create measurable improvement
- Manage the reporting process, to include exception and efficiency of staff compliance activities
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
Loan Documentation:
- Oversight of documentation team compliance with internal and external policies and rules/regulations:
- Play a critical role ensuring loans are accurate and properly approved
- Overall loan compliance management and regular audit
- UCC Perfection oversight and management
- Titling process management and follow-up
- Loan sales compliance oversight
- Lead relationship manager with service providers including:
- Custodian
- Titling agencies
- UCC service providers
Customer Support and Loan Documentation:
- Oversee customer service activities including:
- Insurance maintenance
- Lien perfection
- Titling compliance
- General customer service inquiries
- Payoff requests
Candidate Profile and Qualifications:
- Ability to contribute as a key business partner on an executive team, with a passionate focus on strategy, growth and overall company success
- Demonstrable understanding of the specialty finance industry and loan operations; experience in equipment finance industry strongly preferred
- Management experience with respect to information systems processes
- Impeccable personal and business judgment, with excellent decision-making ability
- Broad spectrum of communication skills, including professional interaction with executives and cross-functional leadership
- Passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
- High energy, intensity and sense of humor
- Minimum 5 years’ in lien perfection/compliance
- Expert in UCC code and vehicle titling requirements across the U.S.
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent
