Lead Generator/Business Development (Inside Sales) – Industrial Equipment Auctions
Location: Chicago, IL

Loeb, a global equipment company headquartered in Chicago, is looking for a highly motivated Lead Generator/Business Development (Inside Sales) with a terrific attitude to assist and support the sales efforts of our Auction division. This role is responsible for generating leads by identifying new opportunities by reaching out to new customers or the existing customer base. The ideal candidate should have above-average communication and telephone prospecting skills as well as a willingness to learn. A basic understanding of the used equipment and auction businesses is beneficial.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the auction team in prospecting and qualifying sales opportunities by telephone
  • Coordinate efforts with the auction team to insure continuity and timely follow up to all inquiries
  • Generate new leads and respond to existing customer inquiries to ensure up to date accuracy and timely responses
  • Update and maintain our proprietary customer relationship management database
  • Handle incoming and make outbound calls to customers/prospects as required

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years in a sales support position with a heavy emphasis telemarketing and/or lead development capacity
  • Must possess strong telephone and computer skills in a Windows environment with above average proficiency in MS Word, Excel and data entry
  • Must possess detailed information gathering abilities with strong written, interpersonal, oral communication and follow-up skills
  • Must work well in a team environment and be willing to demonstrate flexibility in work hours, assignments and scope of work as required in order to meet objectives of the department
  • Strong vocabulary, spelling, and grammar knowledge for producing professionally written correspondence
  • Ability and willingness to provide back up support as needed for all team segments
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Other duties as assigned
