Managing Director of Equipment Finance
Location: Flexible - Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Kentucky or West Virginia

Job Description:

This Managing Director of Equipment Finance will be responsible for leading the direct originations business development team toward achieving both new business production and profitability objectives. This executive will work closely with Commercial Banking leadership across Huntington’s franchise to deliver financial solutions to both existing and prospective clients.

The Managing Director of Equipment Finance will be responsible for the following:
  • Build a culture to enhance the client experience by delivering tailored actionable insights.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with sales executives to identify, negotiate, and close opportunities within the bank’s target markets.
  • Provide internal partners with executive level perspective and strategic direction to achieve long-term profit and growth goals.
  • Serve as an executive level sponsor on large client relationships and in managements of other sales executives, focusing on all aspects of the largest or most complex clients or prospects.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to meet growth, risk management, and profitability goals.
  • Train and develop sales executives, as needed, in advanced structuring, negotiating, and marketing skills.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience in equipment finance and leasing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in successfully leading direct origination sales teams within a bank equipment business.
  • Strong structuring skills related to complex equipment finance opportunities including, but not limited to capital leases, tax leases, operating leases, synthetic leases & term loans.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues and drive performance.
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with clients, prospects, and stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical ability.
