International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc., announced that it has completed 125 lease transactions during the January through June timeframe of 2013. These transactions include extensions, new leases of used aircraft as well as placements of new aircraft from ILFC’s aircraft portfolio, which today supports a worldwide network of approximately 200 airline customers across more than 80 countries.

“Our team continues to work diligently in all our markets to identify and execute effective solutions for our customers’ evolving fleet operations,” said ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron. “Our success in placing aircraft is solidified by our strong financial position and our commitment to bolstering our fleet portfolio with modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.”

ILFC has further demonstrated its commitment to providing its diverse customer base with access to the most suitable aircraft with recent announcements made at the Paris Air Show. In addition to exercising options for an additional 50 A320neo Family aircraft, which brings the total of ILFC’s A320neo orders to 150, ILFC also became the lessor launch customer for the E-Jets E2 Family, signing a letter of intent for the purchase of up to 100 E-Jets. In late June, ILFC also took delivery of its first fuel-efficient, advanced technology Dreamliner 787—with 74 aircraft on order, ILFC is the largest lessor in the 787 program.

“We constantly listen to our customers and are vigilant about new technologies with a potential to deliver significant value and operational efficiencies to our worldwide customers, which further reinforces our leadership as the most responsive aircraft lessor today,” added Courpron.
