It is with great sadness that the management team of Key Equipment Finance announces the death of LJ McIntosh, the company’s Western Region sales manager. LJ died Tuesday after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He joined Key Equipment Finance in 2002.

“Our entire company and all of those who knew and respected LJ are mourning the death of a great man,” said Adam Warner, president of Key Equipment Finance. “Over the course of three decades, LJ made his mark on the equipment finance industry, which has now suffered a great loss. Our hearts go out to LJ’s family during this difficult time.”

LJ became a top performer quickly after joining Key Equipment Finance 11 years ago. He was a six-time sales achievement award winner, four-time Million Dollar Club winner and a Chairman’s Key Achievement Award winner. Prior to joining Key Equipment Finance, LJ worked for Chrysler Capital, GE Capital, Mellon US Leasing and HSBC in various direct sales and sales management capacities. He had more than 32 years of experience in the equipment finance sector.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of LJ’s death. His business success was tremendous, but that is not all for which he will be remembered. His toughness and strong, positive attitude were but a few of the traits which were the mark of this man,” said Peter Bullen, senior vice president and national sales manager. “It was my pleasure to have him as a colleague and – more importantly – as a friend. He will be missed.”

LJ is survived by his wife Cheryle, his grown children and a new grandson. A memorial service will be held for LJ on Sunday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club at 17301 Beach Drive NE in Lake Forest Park, Washington.
