North Star Leasing has hired Tim Hughes as a member of its Business Development team. Tim comes to the company with over 10 years of experience in the equipment finance industry. His broad range of experiences with sales, documentation, and collections brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.  He will be focusing on building programs to help vendors and their customers find the best equipment financing programs. Tim is a native Vermonter who graduated from McGill University. In his spare time, you'll find his feet in a river with a fishing pole in his hands.

Mike Wasko has joined North Star Leasing as a Business Development Specialist. He is a native Vermonter who was born and raised in Colchester. Mike attended Stonehill College, graduating with a degree in finance and minor in economics. He has extensive sales experience with the Essex Asset Management Group and W.B. Mason. Mike thoroughly enjoys being a coach for the Bases Loaded Bulldogs U13 baseball travel team, being involved in the outdoors, hunting, biking, fishing and running marathons. He and his wife are expecting their first child in September.

In order to make space for a rapidly growing team, North Star Leasing has moved to a new building at 747 Pine Street in Burlington, VT. This new space allows for a better organization of teams and allows for continued growth. The building includes energy efficient features like ambient-reactive lighting that adjusts in intensity in response to changing outdoor brightness, an improved envelope and insulation, and an array of solar panels on the roof.

Since 1979, North Star Leasing has provided equipment financing to help businesses grow across a wide variety of industries.  Over the past 37 years, North Star Leasing has funded over 41,000 transactions totaling over $500,000,000 while creating lifelong relationships and fostering healthy growth.
