September 16, 2016, 07:15 AM

Vision Financial Group, Inc. (VFG) announced today that retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, Patrick S. Ballard, has joined VFG as Senior Vice President of Government Programs and Business Development.

“We are excited to add Colonel Ballard as an official member of our VFG team,” said Frederick S. Summers, CEO of Vision Financial Group, Inc. “VFG Leasing & Finance is a certified “Veteran Owned Small Business” and as such, we’ve been planning to add a line of business with the government. We wanted to hire a veteran to help us get that started and make it successful. We are excited to have Col Ballard join us and develop our federal, state, and local Government Business efforts. I know his drive, leadership, and knowledge of the DoD industrial environment will enhance our future endeavors here at VFG.”

“Team VFG has a genuine and palpable passion for serving the customer. Although no longer in uniform, I couldn’t pass up being allowed to continue to indirectly serve through this unique opportunity,” noted Col Ballard. “I am excited about joining another service-oriented, results driven team.” With 25 years of active duty working in the Aerospace Defense industry, Col Ballard has a broad range of experience working with the primes and sub-contractors--a background that will certainly elevate VFG’s ability to build relationships and partner with government and government contractors.
