Sterling National Bank, the principal subsidiary of Sterling Bancorp announced that Judy Diamant has joined its Municipal & Non-Profit Banking Team as Vice President and Managing Director. Diamant will be based at Sterling’s Yonkers office and will report to Harold Peterson, SVP, Senior Managing Director, Municipal Banking.

Sterling’s Municipal Banking team currently manages a large portfolio of municipal deposits, serving local governments and non-profit organizations in the greater New York area. Diamant will be responsible for expanding Sterling’s Municipal Banking portfolio in Westchester County and Long Island through the acquisition of new client relationships and the expansion of existing business. As Sterling continues to deepen its reach in the Greater New York marketplace, leveraging the Municipal Banking Team’s deep expertise in delivering depository and treasury management solutions to municipalities and non-profits will be invaluable.

Diamant has extensive banking experience; she was most recently a Relationship Manager and Sales Executive at JP Morgan Chase & Co. where she managed and developed a portfolio of middle market corporate, pension, endowment, and non-profit clients. Diamant also held several other positions with JP Morgan Chase, including Liaison to Asset Management and Sales Strategist.

“We are thrilled to welcome Judy to our growing Municipal and Non-Profit Banking team,” said Vinny DeLucia, Executive Vice President and President of New York Regional and New Jersey Markets. “We look forward to leveraging her expertise to help us grow in the greater New York market, particularly Westchester and Long Island.”

Diamant received her Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University, and holds her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California.
