The Association of Equipment Manufacturers reports U.S. retail sales of large four-wheel drive tractors saw an increase of nearly 26 percent in May compared to one year ago, according to numbers released this week by AEM.

However, U.S. retail sales of farm tractors rose by just 7.9 percent overall, largely because sales of farm tractors over 100 HP dropped by more than 20 percent compared to May of 2016.

Meanwhile, Canadian retail sales of farm tractors rose by 21.3 percent, but sales of tractors over 100 HP were down a a bit compared to one year ago. Sales of large four-wheel drive farm tractors dropped by 20.7 percent.
