October 18, 2017, 07:18 AM

Diane Croessmann, a leader in the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) and accomplished senior leasing executive, has been appointed to the post of director of The Alta Group consultancy. She most recently served as worldwide managing director of Lenovo Financial Services, and on the ELFA board of directors and executive committee.

“Diane’s addition to Alta is a very important step for us. Not only does she continue our tradition of bringing industry leaders to Alta, she has extensive global experience in the vendor/captive space. Initially, Diane will focus on work with our vendor and captive clients, especially their managed solutions programs,” said Alta CEO John C. Deane.

“The financial services industry is in a period of transformation as we see the rapid emergence of managed solutions.  I can't think of any better place to participate in this transformation than by working with both extraordinary clients as well as the caliber of professionals at The Alta Group. It's a thrilling time for the industry and for me personally,” Croessmann said.

Croessmann has worked with start-up internal leasing programs and managed services programs ranging from $500M to $6B+ in financing volumes. Her other strengths include restructuring sales operations and leading comprehensive re-engineering and management initiatives. As part of the ELFA board, she has also been involved in regulatory negotiations with the SEC, FASB and members of Congress.

Prior to her work at Lenovo, Croessmann held several key positions at Xerox Corp. She was the comptroller for North America, vice president of customer operations, vice president/director of worldwide strategy, vice president/director of the managed services business division, and general manager of leasing and customer business operations for Eastern Europe/Middle East, Latin America and India. She won the Xerox Chairman’s Award for innovation in strategy and execution of transformation activities.

A certified public accountant, Croessmann graduated from Syracuse University in New York with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
