Crestmark was selected as one of Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots by Corp! Magazine. The award celebrates companies that have continued to thrive in economic growth, expansion and hiring Michigan’s brightest talent in 2018.

“At Crestmark, we help,” said Crestmark President and Chief Operating Officer Mick Goik. “And Crestmark’s success is founded on that philosophy. By following our core values and commitment to helping companies grow and prosper, we are constantly defining new solutions to expand financing capabilities within the markets that we serve. We are thrilled that Corp! Magazine has recognized Crestmark and its employees for contributing to the state’s economic progress.”

Crestmark has been helping small- and medium-sized businesses, in Michigan and nationwide, for more than 20 years. Crestmark’s innovative financial solutions enable companies to access working capital from their existing assets, such as accounts receivable or inventory; and by providing alternative financing solutions through equipment financing, leasing, and government-guaranteed lending products.

“An important part of our mission is to tell the success stories of businesses across the state who are creating value through innovation, job creation and economic growth. Our entire team is proud to honor the outstanding companies who make up this year’s class of Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots winners,” said Jennifer Kluge, CEO of Corp! Magazine

Corp! Magazine honored 2018 award recipients on June 14 during a breakfast hosted at the International Banquet Center in Detroit. The breakfast featured a “Spotlight on the Bright Spots” panel discussion and an awards program. Honorees will be featured in a special edition online story on June 21 and in the July/August 2018 print issue of Corp! Magazine.

Crestmark also was honored by the 24th Annual Communicator Awards with three Awards of Excellence and two Awards of Distinction for its direct mail and print ad pieces to promote Crestmark’s financing solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses nationwide. The international competition is one of the largest of its kind and recognizes creative excellence for marketing and communications professionals by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading marketing and communications professionals from various disciplines. This is the 11th consecutive year that Crestmark has received recognition.

Three of Crestmark’s entries received the highest honor, an Award of Excellence, in the collateral category: “Bend Not Break” for direct mail, “Full Speed Ahead” for direct mail, and “2017 Holiday Greeting” for greeting/holiday card. “Bend Not Break” features a row of trees bending from storm-strength winds, and calls attention to the additional flexibility and reinforcement to businesses that Crestmark’s financial solutions provide. Two entries received Awards of Distinction in the print ad category for business/trade publication: “Focus on Growth” and “Pointy Shoes.”

“As a company started by entrepreneurs, we understand the struggles and changes that businesses face. Our financial solutions help businesses manage through change,” said Lisa Beattie, senior vice president and marketing/communications director. “Our marketing materials strive to show that core understanding.”

“Our messages are an indication of our unique expertise and services in niche markets,” said Marty Blake, executive vice president. “We are proud of Lisa and her team for the recognition of their quality work and look forward to their continued success in positioning and distinguishing Crestmark as an outstanding financial service provider.”
