CIT Group announced the appointment of Richard Green as President of CIT Europe. In this new role he will be responsible for overseeing the European operations of CIT Corporate Finance and CIT Vendor Finance. He will report directly to CIT Group Inc. President Nelson J. Chai.
 
Mr. Chai said, “Rich will serve an important role as we look to capitalize on growth opportunities in Europe. His broad experience in the financial services industry will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals.”

Prior to this appointment, Green served as Managing Director of CIT Vendor Finance, Europe.  Before joining CIT, he worked for GE most recently as CEO for their European Commercial Distribution Finance business. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of the UK Capital Solutions business, Managing Director for their UK Fleet business, and European COO for the Equipment Finance business.
