Wells Fargo Adds Lauffer, to Focus on Clients in the Biopharma Sector

Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking, a part of Wells Fargo & Company, announced David Lauffer has joined its Healthcare Investment Banking group as a Managing Director covering the biopharma sector. Based in New York, he will report to Omid Ahdieh, Head of Healthcare Corporate & Investment Banking.

“We are pleased to welcome David whose investment banking experience, sector expertise and long-standing client relationships deepen our industry footprint and enhance our leading Healthcare practice,” said Ahdieh. “This hire adds to the top talent and depth of experience we enjoy across our coverage groups and highlights our commitment to serving clients, both in the biopharma sector and more broadly.”

Lauffer commented, “I’m delighted to join Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking at this exciting time as the firm continues to expand and build its client base and pool of talent, both in the healthcare sector and beyond.”

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Lauffer served as a Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets, specializing in coverage of biopharma clients. Similarly, he covered the healthcare industry at both Barclays and Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment banking divisions. He also spent time with Novartis in Basel, Switzerland, where he was director of M&A in the pharma division. Lauffer holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and an undergraduate degree in microbiology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
