Key Equipment Finance has named Don Phillips as vice president of sales, municipal and specialty vehicle finance, Key Government Finance. In this role, Phillips will provide leadership to the Key Government Finance municipal and specialty vehicle sales teams who support Key Bank clients, national vendor programs, direct public sector customers and specialty vehicle financing for the commercial and municipal markets.

“Don brings to this position more than 25 years of equipment finance, management, and financial sales leadership experience,” said Amy M. Gross, senior vice president of Key Government Finance. “Don has deep understanding of the high value that a resourceful financial partner contributes to the relationship between equipment providers and their clients, which makes him a great addition to our team. I look forward to working with him to expand Key Government Finance’s presence in our target markets across the United States.”

Phillips is returning to Key Equipment Finance where he worked for the first 18 years of his career in its information technology vendor programs and the municipal markets. He then served eight years at GE Capital in a variety of roles in technology vendor program management and sales leadership. More recently, he was the chief financial officer of an energy technology startup and a non-profit organization, overseeing its administrative and financial operations.

Phillips has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Occidental College and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.
