DLL, a global asset finance company for equipment and technology, announced its “Trees for Tomorrow” campaign – a partnership with Vermont-based 501C3 non-profit, One Tree Planted – benefitting reforestation efforts in 2021.

Through the campaign, DLL’s Tech Solutions Global Business Unit has committed to planting one tree for every financing agreement signed through eDocs Express powered by Docusign, up to 10,000 trees, through the 2021 calendar year. For every contract that meets the criteria, DLL will donate to One Tree Planted to support reforestation efforts in North America.

“DLL’s Tech Solutions Global Business Unit is excited to announce this new initiative for 2021,” said Joe Iavarone, Head of Sales and Program Management for DLL in the United States & Canada. “Last year, our team wanted to come up with an initiative that would reduce our carbon footprint and align with DLL’s mission of Partnering for a Better World. Through ‘Trees for Tomorrow’ and the help of One Tree Planted, we are able to do just that.”

For every donation, One Tree Planted works with reforestation partners to plant trees and help to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities and protect habitat for biodiversity.

"Reforestation is a wonderful regenerative activity for nature, and a perfect way to support the waste-free spirit of eDocs with DLL,” said Diana Chaplin, Canopy Director of One Tree Planted. “The trees we plant today will surely have a long-term beneficial impact for the environment and biodiversity."

Iavarone continued, “I am thrilled that we found One Tree Planted to partner with us on this initiative. By encouraging the use of eDocs Express, we are helping our partners speed up the financing process. And now through this initiative, we are not only reducing our impact on forests by using less paper, but we are also helping to restore them in regions that need them most."
