M&T Bank announced John Wolfe has been named Line of Business Manager for Commercial Equipment Finance (CEF) effective April 1. He has been with M&T for 36 years and the Director of Business Development for CEF during the past 10 years. Prior to joining CEF, Wolfe served as Finance Senior Segment Advisor for the Commercial Bank.

This announcement comes as Frank Campagna, current Line of Business Manager for CEF has announced his retirement effective July 2 after a 43-year career in CEF, including 20 years at M&T Bank. Before joining M&T, Campagna held leadership positions throughout his career with industry leaders such as IPS, DataServ-BellSouth, CSA Financial and GE Capital.

At M&T, Campagna built the original municipal leasing group inside of CEF and headed the Rail Financing business. He then took over as the head of Business Development and Line of Business Manager for CEF. Throughout his 20-year tenure with M&T, Campagna participated in growing the CEF business from $40 million to $1 billion in annual new originations. He will remain in an advisory role for CEF until his retirement, reporting to Wolfe.

“John has been instrumental in growing our CEF practice. His thought leadership expertise and innovative deal-making acumen has been such an asset to us over the past ten years. I’m very excited to see what all he will accomplish in his new role,” said Campagna.
