MMP Capital, a commercial financing company specializing in equipment financing, leasing and unsecured capital, has signed as a sponsor for SUSA, Long Island’s largest soccer academy with over 1,600 players, affiliate clubs and additional youth development programs. Through its corporate giving program, MMP Tots, MMP Capital will support less fortunate youth, and their families, to obtain equipment and subsidize fees so that they can continue playing the sport they love.

“We are greatly appreciative that MMP Capital has so generously sponsored SUSA FC Academy,” said Glenn Schneider, CEO of SUSA. “It is partnerships like these that make it possible for all youth athletes develop their athletic journey, learn, and grow as they achieve their goals.”

MMP Capital created MMP Tots a few years ago as a scholarship program, awarding tuition for private K-12 education to families on Long Island. This year as part of MMP Capital’s 10th Anniversary celebration, the MMP Tots program is expanding with the goal of enriching the lives of children.

“The MMP Tots program was created to make the lives of children and families better,” said John-Paul Smolenski, President and CEO, MMP Capital. “We believe that every child should have an equal chance to reach their full potential, no matter what challenges they face. By supporting activities like sports leagues, hosting clothing and toy drives, and offering scholarships, we are committed to providing resources that put children on the path to success.”

MMP Tots recently partnered with the Nassau County PAL (Police Athletic League) and Pioneer Sports to host a football clinic with NFL tight end Jeremy Ruckert of the NY Jets. MMP coaches worked with hundreds of children on the field and, at the end of the day, selected ten individuals as MMP MVPs who exhibited good sportsmanship, athleticism, and teamwork, to receive a special gift.

“As a NCAA Division 1 All American and Big Ten conference champion, I believe in the significant values that sports offer to our nation’s youth. Good values such as teamwork, development of self-esteem, social skills, work ethic, and commitment to common goals to name a few,” said Smolenski.

The MMP family will be invited to take part in additional charitable activities throughout the year, volunteering and organizing events, to give back to our Long Island communities and make an immediate impact.
