Assurant, Inc., a global business services company that supports, protects, and connects major consumer purchases, as well as commercial equipment, announced EPG Insurance, which Assurant acquired in 2020, will be rebranded as Assurant Commercial Equipment.

Founded in 1987 in Memphis, TN, EPG is a leading provider of protection products for commercial equipment, including the construction, agriculture, trucking and forestry industries in the U.S. EPG’s product offerings include extended service contracts, physical damage insurance, guaranteed asset protection, and loss damage waivers.

“Since onboarding the EPG team, Assurant has achieved a level of success that would never have been possible separately,” said Martin Jenns, EVP and President, Assurant Global Automotive. “The acquisition of EPG enabled Assurant to expand our product portfolio and the number of clients we serve in our commercial equipment business. Retiring the EPG name and operating under one unified brand recognizes the scale and strength of our combined companies and aligns with our shared desire to provide best-in-class service and new innovations to our clients.”

With more than 35 years of equipment protection expertise, Assurant Commercial Equipment is a market leader in protection products for the commercial equipment industry. Through point-of-sale solutions for equipment dealers and financed equipment protection for financial institutions, it provides a full suite of protection products and services, including extended service protection plans, physical damage protection, portfolio protection, insurance tracking services, and more.
