LeasePlan USA and Lyft, a ride hailing company, announced they will partner to provide companies with visibility and control of total transportation costs.

Through this partnership, LeasePlan, will be able to provide its customers with more than vehicle leasing and fleet management services. With the Lyft integration, managing travel and fleet spend will be more streamlined for companies and their employees. Fleet drivers can also enjoy the added convenience of booking a Lyft when a vehicle is in for repair without the hassle of expense reporting.

“Our fleet clients are looking for ways to better control each aspect of their budgets, including ride hailing. Many are also incorporating policies to address the ever-changing point to point service, and they need a partner to help manage it,” said Jeff Schlesinger, president & CEO at LeasePlan USA. “That’s where the LeasePlan-Lyft relationship comes in.”

Ricardo Fonzaghi, chief commercial officer at LeasePlan USA, added: “The transformation journey we started a year ago has delivered a key milestone in the U.S. market. We can now proudly say we are a mobility hub, and our clients will enjoy the first results of this amazing journey! And with Lyft’s recent carbon offset announcement, all of these rides will now be carbon neutral, aligning with our own mission to reach net zero by 2030.”

“Together with LeasePlan USA, we’re looking forward to providing thousands of organizations with better alternatives to traditional fleets – creating more flexibility and convenience, alongside better access to data,” said Ben Sternsmith, area vice president of Lyft Business. “This partnership is a key step toward improving people’s lives with the world’s best transportation.”
