Loeb announced the addition of Dave Wanders to the Loeb Term Solutions team as its newest Business Development Officer.  He joins Jim Newman, Managing Partner and the rest of the team in focusing on expanding the financial arm’s equipment-based lending portfolio.

 


Pine Brook Opens Houston Office, Expands Energy Sector Focus
Pine Brook, a New York-based investment firm focused on building businesses in the energy and financial services sectors, announced the opening of a new office in Houston, Texas. The office will be staffed by Michael McMahon, Richard (“Dick”) Stoneburner, Martin Houston, and Claire Harvey.

 


Balboa Hires Three Veteran Finance Directors, Expands Corporate Financing Division
Balboa Capital announced the appointment of Michael Curtis, Robert Harris and Dale Schwartz as directors of specialized markets for the company’s corporate financing division.

Zions Equipment Leasing Adds Business Development Specialist in Northwest
Judd Lemmon has joined Zions Equipment Leasing department as an account executive, based out of Zions Bank’s Idaho headquarters. In this role, Lemmon is responsible for developing equipment leasing relationships with businesses in northern Idaho as well as portions of Oregon, Washington and Montana.

TIP Capital announced the hire of leasing industry professional Michael Larson as Vice President of National Accounts for the Specialty Markets Group, which works with equipment manufacturers, vendors and dealers nationwide.

 


Capital One Bank Expands Mid-Market Commercial Banking Team in Metro D.C.
Capital One Bank announced the appointment of Kate Marcotte and Andrew Brkic as Commercial Banking Relationship Managers for Capital One Bank. They will be based in the McLean, VA office and report to Bryan Pynchon, Market Manager.

Santana Equipment Trading Company hired Jason Ambrose to join its growing sales team as a District Sales Manager.  Ambrose will be primarily involved in the wholesale purchasing and sales of industrial machinery in various regions of the United States.

CIT Group Inc. appointed Todd Friant Managing Director of CIT Corporate Finance, Energy, effective immediately. He will be responsible for leading the origination efforts for senior lending opportunities in the oilfield services and midstreamsub-sectors.

 


Katon Appointed Head of Regions Bank Capital Markets
Regions Bank announced that Terry Katon has been appointed executive managing director and head of Regions Bank Capital Markets. Previously Katon was managing director and group head of the commercial syndications business and head of origination for Regions' broker-dealer subsidiary, Regions Securities, LLC. Katon will continue to lead these businesses in his new role.

Michael Toglia's experience in commercial finance spans over 30 years having held various roles in senior management, business origination, capital markets and commercial credit underwriting. Prior to entering the publishing industry, Toglia served as Vice President of Capital Markets and as the National Sales Manager for both the Equipment Finance and Asset-Based Lending Divisions of Textron Financial Corporation. He also held various roles with General Electric Capital and CIT Group.

Toglia currently serves on the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association's Service Providers Business Council Steering Committee and the ELFA's Communications Committee. Toglia has also served as Marketing Chair, for the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter.

From 2018 - 2020, Toglia served as the Executive Director/CEO of the National Equipment Finance Association.

Toglia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance.
