Director – Originations
Location: Plano, TX

SCF leases and finances assets located primarily in North America and select other jurisdictions worldwide.

SCF structures include tax leases, finance leases, sale-leasebacks, TRAC leases, term loans, refinances, construction-to-permanent facilities, capital expenditures lines of credit, leverage to support mergers and acquisitions and other structures tailored to meet the specific objectives of its customers. Transaction sizes range from $5 to $100 million with typical terms of 36 to 120 months. SCF’s balance sheet enables it to underwrite transactions up to $500 million in size. SCF focuses on essential use and incoming producing assets operated by well capitalized lessees/obligors with proven management teams and defensible positions serving viable end markets.

Supported by an execution-oriented team with on average 25 years of experience, SCF is committed to providing innovative, efficient and effective capital solutions to its clients while generating attractive risk-adjusted returns with credit, structure and asset level protections.

SCF is looking for qualified professionals with a demonstrated history of success directly developing prospect and client relationships. The preferred candidate is one with experience structuring and winning lease and loan transactions secured by essential use fixed assets. SCF primarily targets upper middle market companies ($100+ million annual revenue) to large corporate enterprises ($1+ billion annual revenue).

Candidates should have a proficient understanding of credit analysis, secured loan and lease structuring, and relative value pricing strategies. Seeking a confident and aggressive self-starter who is a team player and an innovative problem solver with the ability to manage multiple relationships and complex transactions at the same time. Must be detail oriented, resourceful, work well under pressure, and have strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a hunger for learning and achievement.   • Undergraduate Degree with business concentration such as Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Five+ years of experience with a proven track record of successfully originating and closing structured lease and loan transactions with businesses generating $100 million to $1+ billion in annual revenue.
  • Preference to Plano, TX office with expectation of 50% travel to cover broad geographic market.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, and referral sources.
  • Conduct independent evaluation of all potential target markets, prospects and transactions.
  • Ability to consistently source and close $50 to $200+ million in new funded volume annually.
  • Knowledge of tax, accounting, cash flow, balance sheet and income statement effects of lease products.
  • Excellent verbal, negotiation, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated record of integrity and sense of personal and professional ethics.
  • Strong and verifiable relationships with senior finance executives of direct prospects and principals at relevant centers of influence.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Salesforce.com, SuperTrump, T-Value, S&P Capital IQ, Debtwire, Pitchbook, ZoomInfo and HP 12c / 17bII.
