Sales Representative

Position Responsibilities

As a Sales Representative at Tamarack, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and success. Your responsibilities will include:

Identify, Develop, and Close New Business Opportunities: You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with prospective Tamarack customers and partners. This involves understanding their needs and how our solutions can benefit them.

Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by bringing $1 million in new revenue within the next year.

Prospecting: Collaborate with your Sales Development Representative (SDR) and Sales Operations Specialist to create an effective outreach plan. Ensure that your name and our value proposition are well known in the Equipment Finance market.

Pipeline Management: Ownership and management of a pipeline of prospective customers throughout the entire sales cycle through HubSpot. This includes maintaining a clear and organized pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.

Product Expertise: Become an expert in our platform and service offerings. This expertise will be crucial in consultative selling and providing value to VP and C-Level clients within the Equipment Finance sector.

Events and Partnerships: Attend conferences and events to represent Tamarack, support partnerships, and network within the industry.

Cultural Influence: Foster and maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture within the company, extending it across all teams and functions. Encourage innovation and a growth mindset among colleagues.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise effectively with team members across various departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with organizational goals.

Data Management: Consistently manage and update pipeline data, sales activities, and forecasting to provide accurate insights into the sales process.

  • Experience: You should have between 3-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships.
  • Industry Knowledge: A strong background in the Equipment Finance industry or a strong willingness to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of this sector.
  • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated intelligence with a technical aptitude to effectively position the benefits of our products and services to prospective clients.
  • Sales Style: A consultative sales style with the ability to excel in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Self-Starter: Extreme comfort as a self-starter, capable of thriving in a startup culture with minimal supervision.
  • B2B Sales Success: A track record of success in selling B2B SaaS solutions to C-level executives. You should be comfortable managing new opportunities from qualification through negotiation and contract signature.
  • Approach: Enthusiastic, sincere, and enjoyable to work with, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Tracking Commitment: An extraordinary commitment to accurately tracking all customer engagement and activity, using HubSpot.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in communicating product or service information concisely to external customers, including prospective clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is required, and an MBA is considered a plus.
