Temporary Executive Assistant
|
Location: Austin, TX
Executive Support & Operations | Equipment Finance | Contract: July–December 2026
Are you a seasoned EA who thrives on autonomy, anticipates needs before they arise, and can seamlessly step into a high-trust role supporting a senior executive?
LeasePoint Funding Group is a growing specialty equipment finance and vendor finance company based in Austin, TX with a tight-knit, high-performing team. We’re looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide full-scope temporary support to a senior executive during a planned maternity leave coverage period from July through December 2026.
This is a full-time, on-site contract role paid on a weekly basis (semi-monthly pay schedule) with the opportunity to make a real impact across executive operations, communications, and property management support.
This role is ideal for a polished, proactive EA who is comfortable owning responsibilities end-to-end without heavy oversight — someone who brings structure, anticipates needs, and keeps things running smoothly from day one.
What’s In It for You
This contract offers the chance to step into a trusted, high-visibility role supporting senior leadership at a company where your contributions are noticed and valued. You’ll gain broad exposure across executive communications, operations, project management, and real estate coordination — all in a collaborative environment where initiative is welcomed and rewarded. A dedicated transition period with the current EA will be provided before the role begins independently, ensuring you have the context, relationships, and systems knowledge needed to hit the ground running.
Why This Role Matters
The Executive Assistant is the operational backbone of the executive’s day-to-day effectiveness. During this coverage period, you’ll be the one ensuring nothing falls through the cracks — keeping communications sharp, schedules optimized, projects on track, and logistics handled. This role directly impacts leadership’s ability to focus on high-level strategy and growth during a critical period for the business.
What You’ll Learn & Do
You will serve as the primary support to a senior executive, managing a wide range of responsibilities including:
- Managing and drafting executive communications including emails, memos, and follow-ups on behalf of the executive
- Full travel planning and logistics including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and detailed itineraries
- Calendar and schedule management, proactively resolving conflicts and optimizing the executive’s time
- Task and project tracking across multiple workstreams using Asana, ensuring deadlines and deliverables stay on track
- Document and template creation for internal and external use, including materials in Canva
- Property management support (~30% of the role) including vendor coordination, scheduling maintenance, tracking invoices, and managing tasks for rental investment properties
- Preparing meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up action items
- Serving as a gatekeeper and liaison between the executive and internal and external contacts
- Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Anticipating needs and proactively identifying ways to improve workflows and processes
This job description is intended to describe the general nature of the role and is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities. Duties and priorities may evolve as business needs change.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 2 weeks:
- Complete onboarding and gain a thorough understanding of the executive’s preferences, communication style, and priorities
- Take ownership of calendar management, travel coordination, and Asana workflows
- Establish rapport with key internal and external contacts
- Become familiar with property management tasks and vendor relationships
Within 30–60 days:
- Operate fully independently, managing all EA responsibilities with minimal direction
- Demonstrate strong judgment in prioritizing tasks and managing the executive’s time
- Have streamlined or improved at least one existing process or workflow
- Maintain a seamless experience such that the executive’s productivity is uninterrupted
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Senior Administrative Assistant supporting C-suite or senior leadership
- Proficiency with Asana or similar project management tools
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools for document and template creation
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft polished executive correspondence
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment
- Experience with travel coordination and complex calendar management
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Professional, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Property management or vendor coordination experience is a plus but not required
