Amur JMW Aviation, LLC (AJMWA), a joint venture between Amur Finance Company, Inc. and the owners of Jet Midwest, Inc., announced that the company has completed a major fleet transaction with Avianca Airlines. The deal consists of AJMWA purchasing the entire ten (10) Fokker 50 aircraft fleet from Avianca Airlines to be delivered to Jet Midwest's facility in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to Paul Kraus, Co-Chair of AJMWA and Chairman of Jet Midwest, "The recent transaction with Avianca allows Amur JMW to enhance its asset portfolio while further promoting relationships with other regional airline customers." He commented, "We are delighted that Avianca placed its trust in our company and look forward to a continued strong working relationship with Latin America's premier airline."

Additionally, Fabio Villegas, Avianca's CEO, stated, "After the Fokker 50 fleet had been removed from our operations, we received from Amur JMW a purchase offer which we have accepted. This sale helps us to continue with our fleet modernization plan for 2014." He further commented, "Amur JMW was able to provide us with a highly responsive and flexible solution that met our fleet transition requirements."

Upon completion of general inspection and routine maintenance of the aircraft at the Jet Midwest facility, AJMWA will release the Fokker 50 aircraft to various airline customers under new operating arrangements.
