CLFP Foundation Releases Eighth Edition Handbook

March 23, 2020, 07:15 AM

The Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) Foundation’s Executive Director and Board of Directors announced that the eighth edition of The Certified Lease & Finance Professionals’ Handbook is now available for purchase.

Deborah Reuben, CLFP, President of TomorrowZone, was again engaged to update the previous edition with a focused effort on incorporating the latest changes to the Body of Knowledge. Reuben consulted with five additional Subject Matter Experts and stated, “It was a pleasure collaborating with (Executive Director) Reid Raykovich, CLFP, and this knowledgeable group of contributors to revise and launch this new edition of the book.”

Expanded and updated content includes revisions to reflect the evolution of tax and accounting, expanded overview and history, new CECL implementation timing, and updates throughout the text. Overall, seven of nine chapters were revised for this edition to accommodate the updated Body of Knowledge.

The Handbook is available for purchase through the Foundation’s website and also through Amazon.  The 2020 CLFP Exam will continue to be based on the Seventh Edition of the Handbook, and in 2021, the Exam will be updated to reflect the new content. A digital version will be available soon as well and may be purchased through the Foundation’s website.

The CLFP designation is the only certification for the Equipment Finance Industry and there are currently 917 active Certified Lease & Finance Professionals and Associates in the United States, Canada, India and Australia.
