CSI Leasing, Inc. (CSI), announced that executive vice president and general counsel Lorraine Cherrick has been named one of St. Louis’ Most Influential Business Women by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Cherrick, who joined CSI in 1986 as an attorney, was promoted to associate general counsel in 1987 and to general counsel in 1999. In her current position, Lorraine oversees all of CSI’s legal matters, as well as the human resources, lease administration and lease management functions. She also serves as the corporate secretary of CSI.

During her tenure, she has been instrumental in CSI’s growth to $1.4 billion in assets, 880 employees and more than 70 offices around the world. Cherrick has taken a lead role in many complex transactions including CSI’s successful recapitalization in December 2012.

“Lorraine has been an invaluable asset to CSI for nearly 30 years. We wouldn’t be where we are today without her dedication and legal expertise,” said president and COO Steve Hamilton. “She truly is an inspiration.”

Lorraine is an active member of the Legal Committee of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, as well as the St. Louis Yale Club Alumni Schools Committee. She and her husband, Jordan B. Cherrick, established and support the Adam Cherrick Fund in Jewish Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.

Prior to CSI, Cherrick was an in-house lawyer for Exxon Company, U.S.A. in Houston, Texas. She received a bachelor’s degree in classical languages and literature from Yale University in 1972 and a Juris Doctorate from the Boston University School of Law in 1981. Lorraine is a member of the bars of the States of Missouri and Texas.

CSI Leasing, Inc. is one of the largest privately-held independent equipment leasing and equipment lifecycle services companies in the world. Established in 1972, CSI has operations throughout North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.
