Syndifi Promotes Canal to President

August 16, 2023, 07:12 AM

Syndifi Inc. announced the promotion of Alistair Canal to President.

Canal is responsible for Syndifi’s global strategic direction, P&L management and overall day-to-day operations. Directing product development initiatives and scaling the brand’s market reach, resilience and bottom-line growth are also a part of Canal’s leadership role. Since joining the company in 2021, Canal has focused on forging customer relations while managing customer demands by anticipating and serving their needs.

“Alistair has built a strong operational structure, corporate culture, and a winning customer success formula for Syndifi which has been paramount to our success,” said Dan Michalek, founder and CEO of Syndifi.

From the start, Canal began adding the necessary structure, processes and tools required to scale and grow Syndifi. In his most recent position as Chief Growth Officer, he played a pivotal role in developing and launching new platform innovations like Deal Pools and the upcoming release of ConnectiFi.

“Alistair has done a phenomenal job and proven to be a steadfast leader who has immersed himself in learning every facet of our business. It’s a privilege to call him our new President,” Michalek said.

For nearly two decades, Canal has earned leadership posts at some of the nation's leading financial and compliance firms, including Bankers Healthcare Group, Promontory Financial Group, and Live Oak Bank where he co-launched its equipment finance division. During his tenure, he consistently drove revenue growth and forged winning brands for each organization.

“Working with Dan and the Syndifi team has been a privilege and a lot of fun,” said Canal. “Together we are building a fantastic team culture, a stellar Syndifi community and transforming the industry we all love. I truly consider it an honor to take the helm as President of Syndifi.”
