RapidWorks, a leading software provider for the heavy construction equipment services industry, announced the appointment of Jim Lynch to its Board of Directors. Lynch was formerly Senior Vice President and General Manager of Autodesk 's construction software business, with three decades of leadership experience in architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) technology.
"We're thrilled to welcome Jim to the RapidWorks board," said Tim Curran, CEO of RapidWorks. "Jim's track record of transforming how construction professionals operate will be invaluable as we continue building the leading software platform for heavy equipment construction and service companies. His insight will help us accelerate innovation that will make our customers more efficient and profitable, from quote to cash."
Lynch's appointment reflects RapidWorks' continued momentum and vision to serve a historically underserved segment of the construction industry: heavy equipment subcontractors. With tens of thousands of companies still managing operations with paper, spreadsheets or outdated systems, RapidWorks is delivering integrated tools for quoting, dispatching, field operations, compliance and payments.
"The next big wave of construction digitization will be purpose-built software for subcontractors," said Lynch. "For too long, this vital part of the industry has been overlooked, with architects, engineers and general contractors leading the way on digitization. RapidWorks is uniquely positioned to lead this next wave with proven, widely adopted tools already delivering results. I'm excited to join the board to help RapidWorks unlock its full potential to improve efficiency, utilization and cash flow for heavy construction service companies around the world."
During his 28-year career at Autodesk, Lynch played a key role in shaping the company's AEC strategy, including the development and growth of Autodesk Construction Cloud. Since retiring, he has taken on board roles at several fast-growing construction tech firms and continues to serve as a strategic advisor across the industry.
