Moritt Hock & Hamroff, a New York-based commercial law firm, expanded its capabilities in South Florida when the attorneys from Saavedra Goodwin, a Fort Lauderdale-based boutique law firm focused on business litigation, real estate and corporate law joined the firm. This marks the second significant expansion into South Florida following the 2023 announcement when Greg Ritter and several attorneys from Ritter Chusid LLP joined Moritt Hock & Hamroff to establish its first full-service office location.
Moritt Hock & Hamroff welcomes Damaso W. Saavedra, Founder and Managing Partner of Saavedra Goodwin, who will join the firm as Senior Counsel. Joining him are Randolph M. Brombacher as Of Counsel and Caitlin J. Bronstein as an Associate, in addition to three additional staff members. This acquisition follows the addition of Joseph Poklemba and Steven Bimston in March of this year, who joined the firm’s Litigation and Creditors’ Rights, Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice groups.
“The addition of the Saavedra Goodwin team augments our ability to deliver positive, collaborative results for our clients with interests throughout the state of Florida,” said Michael Cardello III, Managing Partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff. "Their deep expertise in business, corporate, real estate and litigation-related services complements our existing team in South Florida and provides us with the capacity and expertise needed to expand in this fast-growing business destination.”
“Our expanded team underscores our commitment to the growing South Florida market as well as our success in delivering favorable outcomes across a wide range of practice groups and industries,” said Marc Hamroff, Chairman at Moritt Hock & Hamroff. “We are delighted to welcome Damaso and his talented team of attorneys and look forward to their contributions as we continue to address the legal complexities and issues connected to South Florida’s continued evolution as a global financial and commercial hub.”
“Moritt Hock & Hamroff has an outstanding reputation, and we look forward to contributing to their continued growth and success,” said Saavedra. “From complex commercial litigation to real estate and corporate matters, our expertise matches and enhances Moritt Hock & Hamroff’s capabilities and will allow us to work together effectively to produce positive client outcomes.”
