Empower Rental Group (ERG), one of the fastest-growing equipment rental companies in the Southeast, has named Guy Williams as its new Chief Executive Officer. Alongside this leadership transition, ERG is expanding its footprint with three new state-of-the-art facilities and a relocation of its corporate support center to a larger headquarters in Franklin, Tenn.
Williams brings extensive experience in the rental and construction supply industry, with executive leadership roles spanning general rental, specialty rental, and global manufacturing. Most recently, Williams served as President of Direct Scaffold Supply (DSS), where he led commercial growth efforts, developed new customer channels and diversified the supply chain. Prior to that, as CEO of Form Tech Concrete Forms, he guided the company through operational improvements and a successful ownership transition.
Earlier in his career, Williams held leadership roles at LEASCO Equipment Services and United Rentals, where he helped expand the Tool Rental Division. He also held executive positions at Stanley Steemer, leading national training and product initiatives.
“After learning the gen-rent basics at LEASCO and United Rentals, I was able to refine my leadership and coaching skills at Form Tech and DSS. I’m now fortunate to take those lessons back to an industry I truly enjoy,” said Williams.
Brian Hegi, Managing Partner at Crossplane Capital, added: “We are confident that Guy will build upon ERG’s strong foundation and lead the company through its next phase of growth as a major player in the Southeast.”
ERG’s physical growth continues at a rapid pace, with three major facility upgrades underway:
- Midway / Tallahassee, Fla. – A brand-new location will open in the coming weeks, enhancing coverage in North Florida and improving service response to key regional contractors.
- Belleview, Fla. – A state-of-the-art facility will open in Q4, offering expanded fleet capacity, updated infrastructure, and enhanced customer support capabilities.
- Memphis, Tenn. – A larger, upgraded facility will open in September to support booming customer demand and provide space for both rental operations and support services.
In addition, ERG is relocating its corporate support center to 4057 Rural Plains Circle in Franklin, Tenn. The new headquarters will house all corporate teams and include expanded office, conference, and training space to accommodate the company’s continued growth.
