KLC Financial announced Finance & Commerce has honored the firm with an Empowering Women Award — recognizing companies that go above and beyond to support and advance women in the workplace. Each year, Finance & Commerce honors Minnesota-based companies and organizations that demonstrate measurable progress in elevating women through recruitment, advancement, advocacy and leadership representation. The 2025 honorees, including KLC Financial, were selected based on demonstrated impact and commitment.
At KLC, this is more than a talking point — it’s woven into who we are. We’re intentional about creating an environment where women feel encouraged, valued and given every chance to grow. Whether it’s through mentorship, leadership opportunities or simply having each other’s backs, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built together.
“This award is really a reflection of all the incredible women who show up every day and drive our success,” said Spencer Thomas, CEO of KLC Financial. “We’re lucky to have such a strong, inspiring team, and we’re committed to making sure KLC stays a place where everyone can thrive.”
Amy Lewis, our Chief Operations Officer — who was named one of Finance & Commerce’s Top Women in Finance last year — shared, “I love that at KLC, empowering women isn’t a program, it’s just part of who we are. We’ve created a space where women can lead, try new things, and feel supported every step of the way. This award is something we all share, and it means a lot to see our efforts recognized.”
KLC Financial has long championed women in the equipment finance world, with many of our team members earning individual industry honors along the way. We’re excited to keep raising the bar, pushing each other forward and proving that when people feel truly supported, amazing things happen.
