Northteq, whose suite of equipment finance technology products powers more than 10,000 users across the industry, has released a new white paper on sell-side syndication titled "Originate More, Hold Less: Your Guide to Automating Smarter Syndication in Equipment Finance." The paper draws on candid conversations with syndication experts from Bevel Financial, Verdant Commercial Capital, and ElmBlue Capital to outline five strategies for building a scalable syndication operation without scaling your headcount.
Equipment finance closed 2025 with its second-highest demand level on record at $119.8 billion in new business volume, yet return on assets dropped 35% between 2023 and 2024. Lenders are originating more but making less doing it, and manual syndication processes are a big part of why. With 82% of all equipment acquisitions using at least one form of financing, the white paper walks through where automation can take the busywork off your team and where human expertise still needs to be in the room.
