Regions Bank Names Veteran Banker Barrentine as Head of Regions Business Capital

May 01, 2026, 07:14 AM

Regions Bank announced Amy Barrentine has been elevated to serve as head of Regions Business Capital, a specialty finance team within the bank’s Corporate Banking Group.

An important competitive differentiator for Regions Bank, Regions Business Capital develops tailored services for companies at all stages of their life cycles. From managing periods of rapid growth, to navigating performance volatility, strategically leveraging acquisitions, to managing shareholder distributions, and more, Barrentine’s team specializes in helping clients build responsible growth and achieve clear goals. Examples of solutions provided by the team include:

  • Asset-Based Lending: Asset-Based Lending is a cost-effective financing option that allows clients to leverage business assets, such as accounts receivable and inventory, to support borrowing capacity and other long-term goals.
  • Supply Chain Finance: This solution supports clients’ working capital by giving their suppliers faster access to cash. Under this program, Regions purchases clients’ approved supplier invoices and, in turn, Regions extends payment terms to help clients optimize their cash flow without disrupting the supplier relationship.
  • Trade Receivable Securitization and Receivable Purchase: This solution allows clients to access cash receivables while waiting on their customers to pay invoices. Clients can convert large, diversified pools of receivables into ongoing, cost-efficient funding that supports business growth.
  • Equipment Finance: Clients can finance new or upgraded equipment they need to better serve their customers and achieve key business objectives. Regions’ equipment financing solutions can help clients optimize cash flow, increase profits, reduce costs, leverage tax benefits, create capital and strengthen their overall balance sheet.

“Our clients consistently see the difference Regions Business Capital makes, delivering flexible, sophisticated solutions that help them accelerate growth and achieve their broader strategic ambitions,” said Nikki Stephenson, head of Regions Commercial Banking. “That proven ability to support clients is exactly what makes this team such a powerful extension of our franchise. With Amy Barrentine’s deep experience and the strength of the Regions Business Capital team, we are excited to bring that same level of impact to new clients across our footprint. Together, we are well positioned to expand this business, deepen client relationships, and introduce even more companies to the Regions difference.”

Barrentine succeeds Courtney Jeans, who was recently elevated to a new role within the bank’s Risk Management division.

“Regions Business Capital stands out in the competitive asset-based lending industry because of the strong legacy and relationship-driven approach of Regions Bank,” Barrentine said. “Our advice-led delivery model and commitment to superior service continue to define why clients choose Regions. And as more businesses look to leverage their assets to support capital needs, our team has strong credit and restructuring skills that enable us to deliver market-leading, customized solutions.”
