The American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers has named this year's President's Award recipient. Each year, the AACFB President’s Award is presented to an individual who has gone above and beyond in supporting the association and advancing the commercial finance industry.

Last week at the 2026 AACFB Annual Conference in Orlando, Kalah Sprabeary CLFP, presented the 2026 AACFB President’s Award to Laura Simpson of Preferred Capital Funding Inc. in recognition of her outstanding leadership, service and dedication to the industry.

A second-generation commercial finance broker, Simpson has been an AACFB member for more than a decade, making a lasting impact on the association through her many years of volunteer leadership. She has served on the AACFB Board of Directors, including as President, and has contributed her time and expertise through committee service, educational programming, and speaking engagements at AACFB events. Her willingness to mentor others, share industry knowledge, and support the growth of fellow members has made her a respected leader throughout the commercial finance community.

Simpson’s continued service to the AACFB reflects the spirit of leadership, professionalism and commitment that the AACFB President’s Award was created to honor.
