June 12, 2026, 07:12 AM

Pinnacle Financial Partners has named David Merzazada office leader for its new Leesburg office, further expanding the firm’s presence in Northern Virginia and the National Capital Region.

Merzazada brings nearly two decades of experience in banking, lending, business development and team leadership. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for helping businesses, families and individuals achieve their financial goals through trusted advice and relationship-based service.

As office leader, Merzazada will be responsible for establishing and growing Pinnacle’s presence in Leesburg, building a team of financial professionals and delivering the firm’s distinctive service model to clients throughout Loudoun County and the surrounding communities.

“David is a relationship builder in every sense of the word,” said Ken Ayers, area manager for Pinnacle’s National Capital region. “He has a proven ability to earn clients’ trust, develop strong teams and create meaningful connections in the communities he serves. As we continue growing in Northern Virginia, David’s leadership and commitment to putting people first make him the right person to lead our new Leesburg office.”

Prior to joining Pinnacle, Merzazada served in leadership and lending roles with Truist, where he oversaw branch operations, business development efforts and consumer and small business lending. He also previously held banking and mortgage advisory positions with Capital One. His experience spans commercial and consumer banking, credit underwriting, portfolio management and leadership development.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Merzazada earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing.

“Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building lasting relationships and helping clients achieve what’s important to them,” said Merzazada. “Pinnacle’s culture and commitment to delivering distinctive service align closely with my own approach to banking. I’m honored to help establish our presence in Leesburg and look forward to serving this growing community.”
