Pearson Joins Fox Ridge Capital as Head of Corporate Strategy and Planning

Fox Ridge Capital, a hybrid business financing company, announced the appointment of Gabe Pearson as Head of Corporate Strategy and Planning. With nearly 20 years of financial leadership across private equity, mergers and acquisitions, treasury and financial planning, Pearson brings deep cross-industry experience ranging from small enterprises to Fortune 500 organizations.

“Gabe brings deep FP&A discipline, data-driven decision-making and cross-functional expertise,” says Tom Depping, CEO of Fox Ridge Capital. “This marks the second startup I’ve led to benefit from Gabe’s contributions making him uniquely positioned to accelerate our strategic planning and financial execution.” 

Prior roles of Pearson’s include Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis at Ascentium Capital; Director and Vice President roles in financial planning and analysis at CIT; Vice President of Business Analysis and earlier analytics leadership at Direct Capital Corp.; Investment Associate and Investment Banking roles at Brown Brothers Harriman; and investment banking analyst at Fieldstone Private Capital Group.

Select accomplishments include: 

  • Led FP&A for two of CIT business lines representing $15 billion in earning assets 
  • Supported the successful sale of Direct Capital to CIT helping lead due diligence, forecasts and post-deal integration
  • Instrumental in launching Direct Capital’s first equipment-backed securitizations totaling $344 million
  • Built valuation and operating models and transaction analysis across private equity and investment banking, advising management and investment committees

Pearson will be responsible for driving budgeting, forecasting, transaction evaluation and strategic initiatives. Pearson holds a degree from Babson College in Business Management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
