Wells Fargo Commercial Banking has added Jim Teichman as market executive for Washington/Alaska and Varun Gupta as market executive for the South Bay Coastal, California. Both will report to Eric Houser, commercial banking Northwest Division executive.

Teichman is a 25-year commercial banking veteran with a record of driving growth and leading teams across the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Relationship Manager in Washington, advising clients on capital raising, M&A and liquidity management. He previously held leadership roles at Bank of America and KeyBank. Based in Seattle, he earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. 

Gupta brings 15-years of commercial banking experience, including leadership roles at Citi, HSBC, and Standard Chartered, where he managed client relationships across the technology and diversified sectors. He combines credit expertise with a proven ability to originate and grow client relationships through collaboration with credit, treasury management, capital markets and risk. At Citi, he served as director and head of credit, overseeing credit originations and portfolio management. Based in Palo Alto, California. Gupta earned a degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.
