Maxim Commercial Capital Achieved Strong Growth in Q3 2026

Maxim Commercial Capital announced substantial growth during the third quarter of 2026, having funded 44% and 33% more deals over the prior year’s period and prior quarter, respectively. The company attributes its strong quarterly performance to enhanced application automation, streamlined documentation and funding processes, and competitive pricing for non-prime and subprime borrowers resulting from its credit scorecard implemented earlier this year. Maxim fuels small businesses and entrepreneurship nationwide in underserved market segments by providing loans and leases from $20,000 to $3 million collateralized by construction and agricultural heavy equipment, over-the-road trucks and trailers and real estate.

“Over the last year, we’ve prioritized investments in our people, processes, and products with tremendous early results,” said Michael Kianmahd, Maxim’s CEO. “We strengthened our bench considerably. After hiring Lyn Elam as our first COO and Don Cosenza as SVP-Business Development last year, we onboarded our first CTO, Michael “Bez” Beswick, in August. Bez has accelerated improvements to core business processes through AI-driven automation and enhanced data integration with an eye towards building out a best-in-class technology roadmap. We are extremely excited about Maxim’s future and positive impact for the benefit of our referral partners and customers.”

The company’s enhancements have reduced average credit decisioning cycle times by more than 50% for heavy equipment applications. Additionally, Maxim streamlined its broker application, new broker approval process, and documentation and funding process.

Finance brokers and equipment vendors nationwide are benefitting from Maxim’s flexible financing solutions for B-to-D credits. Cosenza and Fernando Rodriguez, Director-Vendor Sales, focused on deepening relationships with new and existing high potential referral partners during the quarter, educating them on Maxim’s unique programs and how to optimize closing rates.

“Vendors have commented that they like how we communicate our conditions upfront, from submission to funding, and our slimmer funding checklist,” noted Rodriguez. “These factors, combined with our focus on funding challenged and story credits, have resulted in large increases in submissions and fundings.”

Representative fundings during the period included: an $85K term loan for working capital borrowed by an attorney and secured by a first mortgage on her primary residence; a $59K 2021 Bobcat T870 track loader for a contractor with story credit due to a previous economic turndown and a $100k charge off from surrendering faulty equipment; a $68K Freightliner Cascadia for a start-up, non-CDL investor with bad credit and a co-guarantor with slightly better credit; and a $48K 2020 Freightliner M2 106 tow truck for 25% down for an experienced operator with thin credit.

Maxim continues to expand and improve its infrastructure to support its growth. The company is currently seeking to hire an Accounting Manager.
