October 26, 2026, 07:11 AM

GFA Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce Patrick Cucinotta, a senior executive and CPA, as its new chief financial officer.

Cucinotta brings more than 20 years of experience leading financial and operational functions within financial institutions ranging up to $5 billion in assets. In those roles, he guided strategic planning, financial performance, operational efficiency, risk management, regulatory compliance and organizational growth.

“We are confident in Patrick’s ability to lead GFA in its long-term financial stability and growth. He has demonstrated strong commitment to the customers, employees, and communities of his previous financial institutions, and we look forward to his positive impact at GFA,” said Mark Hettinger, president and CEO of GFA Federal Credit Union.

Cucinotta most recently served as senior vice president, CFO, and treasurer at Walpole Co-operative Bank, where he spent more than two years. Previously, he spent more than 10 years at Leader Bank in various leadership and controller roles.

As CFO of GFA, Cucinotta will oversee financial operations and work closely with the executive leadership team and board of directors to support the credit union's continued financial strength and strategic priorities.
