February 16, 2016, 07:18 AM

NXT Capital announced the promotion of Stacia Kopplin to Managing Director of Risk Management. Stacia assumes responsibility for NXT Capital’s risk management activities which include loan review, operational risk management, risk rating implementation and monitoring, data governance and portfolio reporting and management.

“Stacia’s promotion recognizes the ongoing critical nature of our risk management activities as we have grown in size and complexity, and the substantial contribution she has made to our success through the years at Heller Financial, Merrill Lynch Capital and now NXT Capital,” said Robert Radway, Chairman and CEO. “The fact that we have been consistently recognized as having a best-in-class risk management platform is in no small part a result of the efforts of Stacia and her team. In addition to her overall risk management responsibilities, Stacia will also become a member of our credit committee.”

Stacia joined the company in 2011 as Director of Risk Management, where she was instrumental in developing the company’s Loan Review and Risk Management processes. Prior to joining NXT, she was the Director of Risk Management at Merrill Lynch Capital. Stacia also spent 14 years with Heller Financial and GE Capital, where her positions included Senior Vice President of Loan Review, as well as Underwriter, Portfolio Manager and Auditor in the Corporate Finance group.

Stacia holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois.

NXT Capital provides structured financing solutions through its Corporate Finance, Equipment Finance and Real Estate Finance groups and is based in Chicago with offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco and Stamford.
