Wintrust Commercial Finance Adds Feldser and Heidt to Direct Origination Platform

September 07, 2016, 07:12 AM

Wintrust Commercial Finance (WCF), part of Wintrust Financial, announced that David Feldser and David Heidt joined the division’s direct originations group. Feldser will be located in Charlotte, NC, focusing on direct originations in the mid-Atlantic region. Heidt will be located in Chicago. Both will join the national team led by WCF Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joe Thompson.

“Both David Feldser and David Heidt have tremendous credit and technical skills which are paramount to our model,” said Thompson. “We seek a balance between credit strength, collateral support and risk adjusted pricing.  Our new business development team takes a consultative approach with our customers and both of these gentlemen are polished consummate professionals.”

Feldser has 15 years experience in equipment finance, primarily in Sales and Sales Management.  In addition to direct roles with NXT Capital and GE Capital, he has sales management experience and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.  David holds a B.S in Analytical Finance from Wake Forest and an M.B.A. from the Jones School of Management at Rice University.

Heidt has over 25 years of direct origination experience in the middle and large corporate markets in the Midwest.  He has deep relationships in the business community and extensive market knowledge.  David’s experience includes tenures at NXT Capital, RBS Asset Finance and Heller.  He holds an M.B.A from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.

“These two hires fill out phase one of our direct origination platform and position WCF for continued growth and pursuit of larger transactions.  The WCF capital markets team, led by Tom Forbes and Steve Cusick, has done a great job in developing our indirect relationships.  As we gain market penetration on the direct side, we will are confident we will be able to work with those same indirect partners by bringing them into select WCF transactions.” Thompson went on to say.  “I just want to say a word of thanks to the entire Wintrust organization for believing in our vision and supporting us.  It has been a great team effort.  I also want to thank our strategic partners whose support was instrumental to our early success.”
