Natixis Appoints Global Head of Aviation Finance

Natixis announced that it has appointed Gareth John as Global Head of Aviation Finance. He reports to Olivier Delay, Global Head of Aviation, Export & Infrastructure at Natixis. Locally John will report to Benjamin Sirgue, Head of Global Finance Americas.

In his new role, John will assume responsibility for executing the global business strategy of providing client centric solutions through the use of investment banking, capital markets and financing products by leveraging the sectorial expertise of the more than 20 aviation professionals in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Singapore. 

Delay said, “We are thrilled to have an executive of Gareth’s caliber lead our aviation platform through Natixis new strategic plan ambition. We are confident that, under his action, our leadership in the Aviation sector will keep on growing. His proven track record and wide range of experience in the sector will continue to strengthen our global market presence.”

John has 18 years of financial services experience, and joined Natixis CIB Americas in August 2017 from Deutsche Bank, where he had been Head of Transportation Finance – Americas. Earlier, he worked at UBS, and GE Capital, among other companies.

John holds an MBA in Finance from Wake Forest University and a BA in International Business from St. Andrews University.
