Former Zions Bank Exec Joins Onset Finanial as SVP of Product Management

January 04, 2018, 07:05 AM

Melinda Haynes joined Onset Financial as Senior Vice President of Product Management. Most recently, she spent nearly three decades at Zions Bancorporation. In her role at Onset, Haynes will oversee the customer experience and track analytics to ensure finance processes exceed expectations. Haynes specializes in high-performance team management, process improvement and risk mitigation.

“We’re excited to have Melinda join the Onset team. It’s never easy to attract and hire such experienced and talented people within the finance world, said Justin Nielsen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Onset Financial. “Melinda is a tremendous addition to our team and it is an incredible way to start 2018 by hiring one of the most talented performers in the banking industry.”

In her former role, Haynes lead operational services of twenty departments and nearly 300-employees that supported affiliate banks and 450-full-service banking offices in eight states.

“It’s rare to see a company disrupt the marketplace by adding so much value to its customer base,” said Haynes. “When an opportunity came to me to be part of Onset Financial it didn’t take long for me to catch the vision and want to be a part of this organization.”

Haynes graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah and recently completed a graduate-level degree from Pacific Coast Banking School (PCSB) where she was in the top 10-percent of her class. She is a graduate of the Utah Banker’s Association (UBA) Executive Development Program and was recognized by American Banker magazine in its “Most Powerful Women in Banking” issue. Melinda is also a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council.
