North Star Leasing Company announced it will reach a major milestone in 2019. On June 29, the company will have successfully helped businesses grow for 40 years – an impressive achievement. Since its inception in 1979, the company has funded over 49,000 transactions totaling in excess of $500 million.

To commemorate this occasion, and to continue North Star Leasing’s community support, the company asked employees to identify worthwhile causes that would benefit from donations. Each employee will be given $1,000 to donate to a charity of their choice. The total contribution of $40,000 – a nod to its 40 years in business – will serve to benefit over 60 organizations.

Additionally, the company will be hosting Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D. “the Bowtie Economist”, in Burlington, VT on Friday, June 28.  The forum will be attended by more than 200 Burlingtonians who will gain firsthand experience in Eisenberg’s unique view on the economy and what is to be expected in the years to come. The day will end with an afternoon celebration at the company’s headquarters attended by current and former employees, their families and friends, customers and vendors and the Burlington community to celebrate this momentous occasion.

“When Phil Goldman, Pat Robins and Ray Pecor started the company as a spinoff of McAuliffe Office Products, with $1,000 and a $50,000 line of credit from Chittenden Bank, who could have envisioned that 40 years later, we now have over 5,000 active leases with a value exceeding $75,000,000,” said North Star Leasing’s CEO Dan Feeney. “We believe by helping grow small businesses across the U.S., we are simultaneously strengthening their communities.”
